K.G.F: Chapter 1 is an Indian Kannada-language action-period drama[2] film set in the Kolar Gold Fields. It was written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale films. It is the first installment in the two-part series, followed by K.G.F: Chapter 2. The film stars Yash and Garuda in the lead roles.[3] Production on the film was completed on 15 August 2018. K.G.F: Chapter 1 is scheduled to be released on 21 December 2018. It will be dubbed into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.[4] In the USA and Canada, the premier release date is 20 December 2018.

Plot[edit]
The movie datesback to 1951.Here two incidents take place; One birth of the hero and other in the Kolar Gold Fields (K. G. F) they get gold. The hero is brought up in poverty. When he is very young itself he goes to Mumbai to become a mafia don. His mother's wish was to see her son rich and powerful. After being in Mumbai for some time he returns back. Will he be able to become a Don? Will he set his people free from the age old slavery? Forms the plot of the movie.

Production[edit]
As of 25 June 2017, the project was 50 percent complete and production had restarted after sets were rebuilt following their destruction by heavy rains.[6] The second schedule started in Mysore. The film has so far been shot in Kolar, Bengaluru and Mysuru. "In our upcoming schedules, we plan on visiting Kolkata, Mumbai and Ladakh as well, apart from more shoots in Mysuru and Bengaluru," said Karthik.[citation needed]
KGF will be released in five languages. It is a complete period drama and is set in the 70s and early 80s. Yash plays the role of Rocky, a slick and a suave person of the 70s era. Apart from Yash and Srinidhi, some of the Kannada actors include Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha[7] and B Suresha. Ramya Krishna and Nasser are expected to join in later schedules.[8] A technical team, which includes cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, music director Ravi Basrur and art director Shivakumar, have worked towards creating the ambience and look of the era.[citation needed] The teaser of KGF was released on the Yash birthday (8 January 2018). The trailer was released on 9 November 2018.[9][3][10]
